Marcus and his wife Chiamaka has been married for 15 years without a child and yet thet aren't giving up. Chiamaka has consulted many religion worshipers based on her situation but still no candid sign.
There was a day her husband took her to a herbalist without telling her beforehand. When she got there, the man told her husband to talk to her not to leave because he could see her reactions are not welcomed. And truly, she wasn't pleased being in there and also not happy with her husband for taking her there. The man brought out a concoction for her to eat and she rejected it. This caused a lot of arguments between both couple when they left the herbalist house. For days, they ignored each other. Her husband wasn't pleased with what she did, and when he couldn't tolerate the silence between them he had to apologize for peace to reign.
"I told you that going to herbalist or any of this clergy and some Imam for spîrîetuál cleansing of taking what am not supposed to is what I don't like. Do you think God is a full? He knows the right time has not come. So let me be. I believe it is not yet time.
"Hmm (chuckles) not yet time after 15 years darling. Not yet time hun.
"Yes, it is not yet time. And God Glory can't be shared with any man. It is not like I have not been pregnant. It is always this miscarriage that spoiled it." She bows her head and started sobbing.
THREE DAYS LATER
She went with to one of her friends daughters wedding and during the happy moments a girl intentionally let down a plate of soup on her dress. She felt infuriates and confronted her. The girl claims not to do it intentionally. Chiamaka was so angry with what the girl did until she said something that saddened her.
"Am i the cause of her childlessness. Why passing so much aggression on me.
The girl left immediately she said that leaving Chiamaka speechless, thinking what could have warrant such a insult from her. Her friends tried to control her temper. Begging her to calm. She walked out of the reception angrily to go home. Her friends ask her not to, but she gave an excuse of going to change her cloth. She finally left and the bride mother who is her friend called the rude girl aside to talk to her.
"I did what you asked me to do ma". The girl said moving back from getting hit.
"And did I tell you to insult her that much. Oya go back to your post!" Susan said and the girl ran out.
Chiamaka get inside her room looking so sad. Her husband who was in the living room stood up immediately to check on her. She told him what happened and immediately he consoled her.
"Why? Why is it that some people feels good to insult a barren woman. Is it my joy to be barren. Is ittttt? Oh God, God this is too much for me. A lot of snide talk most of the time because of my situation. Is it my fault ". She cried.
"It is not your fault my love. Infact it's not our fault.
Five months later after going on and on she became pregnant again. And this time around she was more than happy. She takes things with care, infact she stop going to her shop to abstain from stress. One day, she went into a supermarket to get some things. She stood outside drinking coca cola happily when a looking shabby man suddenly shows up in her front almost frightening her.
"You see this baby. You will deliver him but he won't survive." He ran away immediately laughing cræzily along.
Chiamaka mouth was opened in shocked not knowing if she should run after him or rain curses on him for what he just said.
