The big Christmas tree was being dismantled today in Vancouver in front of the art gallery. The season must be over. At home my Dad always waited until Jan 6th, little Christmas aka Women's Christmas. It probably won't be long until the next one rolls around. In the meantime looking forward to the days gradually getting longer and spring coming.
Our Christmas this year was low key. Last year we were in Japan and happened to be there during an earthquake and had to move to higher ground due to a tsunami warning. Luckily the tsunami didn't come to the area we were in but it was scary all the same. I was sleeping at the time and the house shook like crazy and I didn't know what was happening.
Grateful for a lower key Christmas this time just good food and wine at home in Vancouver.
The days go by so fast that the tree is already being dismantled.
