Well, it's ideal for me. Because I really enjoyed this fable. Particularly with some sentences that are unusual for an English-only speaker. But I love it when an unusual structure emphasizes the emotions. E.g.:
There lived mighty Tree, old and wise.
He stretched branches to the sky, singing freedom and life,
That's beautiful and instantly visible in my mind. Yet I doubt I could ever relax English grammar rules enough to achieve anything near as good as that.
Overall, it's a great story. Told very well.
