SmartBCH is gaining a lot of momentum in such a short time. I mean they are compatible with the ethereum. It is also going to be accepting more NFTs and the coin projects that can be useful for the investors.

SmartBCH projects are often vetted by the BCHPad project and they seem to be checking if such type of the projects are legit or not.
You need to however do your own research. I think some of the project get launched every month there now and you don't know if they are legit or not. I think you may have to be really careful these days. Some tokens are a bit hard to verify.
There are also the DEX coming out every now and then and have option to lock funds. Which can be scary and often the money may get lost in bridges too.
So always do your own research. Find out if the background of such projects is any good.
