5 albums that changed the music in the nineties

in #cervantes7 years ago

first album: nirvana- nervermind.

For many people this album revolutionized music in the 1990s, the tormented lyrics of kurt cobain and the simple compositions, with great choruses was a perfect formula that was inspired by punk rock of the eighties but that possessed the element pop and this for Many groups that preceded became the perfect formula for the rest of the decade, pop melodies in the stanzas and cries frame the pattern for an entire generation who sought a spiritual guide and cobain with his premature death left a void the rest of the decade

second album : red hot chili peppers- blood sugar sex magik

The Californian quartet already had a pair of discs behind them and they were marked by the funk, the rock and the punk subculture of the angels, but it was not until this album went on sale that achieved international recognition subjects like under the bridge and Give it away were chanted throughout the decade and opened the way for other bands who assimilated the style becoming a benchmark of music to the present.

third album : smashing pumpkins -mellon collie and the infinite sadness

A double album that is an icon of alternative rock the game of guitars James Iha and Billy Corgan next to D'Arcy Wretzky's bass lines alongside drum sessions by Jimmy Chamberlin were on another level, this album especially Band took elements of alternative rock and dark subculture with lyrics that came out of Billy Corgan's head were the catalyst for rock lovers. Musicians of the stature of david bowie praised the musical composition and subjects like zer and 1979 are classics of the contemporary music.

fourth: nine inch nails-the downward spiral

What can be said of Tren renzor multiinstrumentista, arranger and composer who is considered the musical father of artists like Marilyn Mnason, published one of the most enigmatic albumnes of music, dark and dense lyrics that showed their irreverent character in front of a world that is Unnoticeable, marked the groups that would come in the following decades, as well as a music video as it is closer, did not leave anyone indifferent.

Five : Radiohead- Ok Computer

After their worldwide success with their creep song, the English band tried to explore new nuances and stop being seen as a band of a single success, Thom Yorke and company musically achieved one of the albums that have captivated rock in its different facets , Not only because of their musicality that tends to be atmospheric and crazy, they could also in their lyrics transmit that feeling of restlessness and alienation that I left in the 1990s in young people who were no longer adolescents, had grown up and had to face the world.

Apoyo total hermano, aunque creo que Cervantes apoya contenido en español 😉

I always thought Jeff Buckley's 'Grace' changed everything. David Bowie once named it one of his top 5 Desert Island albums. Good list tho, agree with the selections overall.
