It is a rear light for bicycle or motorcycle from the English brand Miller who were specialists in lights for this type of vehicle with great quality.

It is curious that this piece is so old since it still used carbide, a fuel little used in these times, it worked by creating a flame that made it possible to illuminate the ground with a white glass cabochon and that they saw you from the back with another opposite cabochon red, a simple but effective design that, together with its hinge and small safety lock, made circulation in the dark a little safer.

These pieces of history make you think about how difficult travel had to be when you were caught at night and this lighting was available. Today we turn on a light and you don't worry about its ip64 and its 48-hour lithium battery. At that time the flame could be extinguished and it had to be constantly adjusted by watching the amount of fuel, without talking about whether it was raining or blowing directly towards an impossible mission.
