Buenos días a todos, hoy os traigo un post de electro mecánica con un fallo que me ha traído loco por unas semanas.

Como habéis podido ver en el post anterior compré una máquina para poder hacer diagnosis al cochecito, viendo que el funcionamiento era correcto deje pasar unos días conduciendo sin apreciar fallos.

El otro día sábado se me caló el coche sin motivo ninguno ( es automático y es imposible calarlo ) y no soy Carlos Sainz pero tampoco Mr Magoo ejjeje. Al haberme pasado en un semáforo y estar solo pude observar que al mover la SAM (módulo de fusibles bajo el volante que también es centralita y conecta todos los módulos de control del coche) sonaba un relé y esto no debía ocurrir.
The other day, Saturday, my car stalled for no reason (it is automatic and it is impossible to get it) and I am not Carlos Sainz but neither is Mr Magoo ejjeje. Having passed a traffic light and being alone I could see that when I moved the SAM (fuse module under the steering wheel that is also a switchboard and connects all the control modules of the car) a relay sounded and this should not happen.

Me decidí a desmontarla con el miedo que ello conlleva siendo lego en el sector de la electro mecánica pero viendo algún tutorial y armando con mis herramientas y productos de limpieza para circuitos, me decidí a no sin esfuerzo meterme debajo del volante.
I decided to disassemble it with the fear that this entails being a layman in the electromechanical sector but watching a tutorial and assembling with my tools and cleaning products for circuits, I decided not without effort to get under the steering wheel.

Después de hacer fotos de la posición de los conectores para su posterior colocación, saque el modulo del vehículo y revise los peines sin ver ningún problema en ellos y pasando a limpiarlos con limpia contactos y dejándolos secar.
After taking photos of the position of the connectors for their later placement, remove the module from the vehicle and check the combs without seeing any problem in them and going on to clean them with clean contacts and letting them dry.

Una vez teniendo el modulo fuera del coche quite los 3 tornillos que lleva para abrir la carcasa exterior y saque los circuitos que vienen plegados como un libro ( me llamo la atención y nunca había visto hacer origami con circuitos) Esto hizo que tuviese que desplegarlos con sumo cuidado , hay que recordar que el coche es del 2003 y todas sus piezas ya con 17 años pueden ser quebradizas, así que con paciencia y poco a poco desplegué los circuitos.

Me puse con una luz y una lupa a revisar todas las soldaduras buscando fallos y ahí estaban, en las soldaduras se podían apreciar que se habían quebrado los puntos de unión en dos de los principales conectores (motor y cambio de marchas)
I went with a light and a magnifying glass to review all the welds looking for faults and there they were, in the welds you could see that the junction points in two of the main connectors (engine and gear change) had been broken.

Este problema hace que el contacto no sea bueno y eso era lo que hacia que los fallos fuesen recurrentes y aleatorios volviéndonos locos a la hora de buscar el culpable. Siendo por lo que he podido leer muy común en estos motores Mercedes y en su modulo SAM que padecía este fallo.
This problem causes that the contact is not good and that was what made the failures were recurrent and random, driving us crazy when looking for the culprit. Being from what I have been able to read very common in these Mercedes engines and in its SAM module that it suffered from this failure.

Soldé de nuevo todos los pines viendo que pudiera dar fallo y metí mas estaño viendo que tenia para mi parecer poco.
I soldered all the pins again seeing that it could fail and I put more tin seeing that it had little to me.
Le di un buen limpiado que nunca está de más con alcohol isopropílico y una vez que lo vi como nuevo lo volví a montar en el coche, no sin esfuerzo de contorsionismo por mi parte.
I gave it a good cleaning that never hurts with isopropyl alcohol and once I saw it as new I put it back in the car, not without effort of contortion on my part.

Creo con seguridad que está del todo arreglado y que voy a poder disfrutar de este pequeñín durante una buena temporada.
I believe for sure that it is completely fixed and that I will be able to enjoy this little boy for a good season.
