New technologies have reached the point where it is possible to earn a living and make considerable amounts of money just by being an active participant in a social network.
Whether you write, take photos or make videos, etc. etc. Everything can be monetized, basically we are all producing content, we have to see the amount of information that is uploaded minute by minute to the internet and all are monetized in one form or another, but at the end you can see that money, well it is already one Very different story.
Speaking of what competes for us, in this wonderful community that is Steemit I realize that if your growth continues the ascending rhythm we could be seeing the end of the great. If one day you can dethrone Facebook or Instagram. I want to be part of that moment.
Between Steemit and the other platforms there are considerable differences, and the gap is not as abysmal as one would think, and each passing day the Steemians are more.
We are participants of free competition, and only with our work can we win the race.
Consider for a moment the social, economic and cultural consequences in case Steemit becomes the next Facebook , imagine for a moment that would happen if the number of users who handles the platform created by Mark Zuckerberg was the same as Steemians , How many people in tight economic conditions would improve their quality of life just by devoting a little of their time to the creation and development of some art? I'm sure it is.
The time will come when we the creators of content can live simply by what is shared with others. The social impact of networks can be used in a practical and useful way to improve the living conditions of many peopleand stop being just a mirror of narcissism and self-contemplation. Because let's be honest if we see Facebook or Instagram are just boxes of resonance of our inflated ego since the only value that is given to the material that is uploaded is for the purpose of satisfying self-esteem in an instant.
What would happen when money is involved in this kind of activity? Would an average user of any network outside of Steemit receive the same amount of care as they receive it now? If each I like is worth money, if each comment is worth money and is a direct transaction; Would someone be so careless to keep climbing selfies taken in a messy and messy bathroom steadily? I think this would give for a good debate.
I have been in Steemit for a month and a few days, and I have not really come across publications like Facebook , I would bet 90% of the material is hard work, steemit trivialization and trivialization. Want to draw attention only because if they are not profitable are punished with indifference.
It is up to us to preserve the community in a way where the production of any artistic material is really the pillar to form a different future in what has to do with social networks.
We can be part of the beginning of social and cultural change on many levels.
I imagine a situation where someone is short for X amount of money and their way of completing the quotas is to publish good pictures or write a poem, well, they would be implicit certain conditions that should be fulfilled but this scenario, but not so distant, a Example could be I am going to take advantage of the profits to cover part of the payment of internet service. I am sure there must be many other cases similar or even bigger than mine.
Today is the internet bill, tomorrow will be a Gibson SG custom.
A preliminary conclusion for this serious issue is the commitment and the task of growing with quality. Synthesize the problems and generate solutions that solve the possible disadvantages that we are facing (not being familiar with the types of currencies, not knowing the voting power etc.). It is a commitment of all to take advantage of the technology for well-being, take advantage of the blockchain, the world of the criptomonedas that art, writing, photography are renewable fuels that make this community work and that the idea of Steemit spreads like Light up the last corner of cyberspace.
