Once in a while we always organize an interesting hike with friends. Usually once a quarter and still on the third or fourth attempt. Holt not always everyone can. This time one of us suggested that we could go along the old canceled line, part of which was replaced by the longest railway tunnel in the Czech Republic, almost five kilometers long. Originally it also led from Doubravka, Pilsen part. But to Chrast and beyond, now the track to Chrast is canceled, then the track runs only local. We thought that it would be interesting to take a walk across the canceled section, which is gradually dismantled and somewhere is just gravel, somewhere still tracks in the longer section. But only on one side. And so it happened, the weather was good for us. In February clear and 9 degrees, it is not seen so often. Although this winter is one of the hottest in the history of measurement. We started from the meeting point on the final trolleybus number 16 in the Doubravka district through the park in Potoční Street.
Jednou za čas uspořádáme s přáteli vždy nějakou zajímavou túru. Většinou tak jednou za čtvrt roku a to ještě na 3. či 4. pokus. Holt ne vždy všichni můžou. Tentokráte jeden z nás navrhnul, že bychom mohli jít po staré zrušené trati, jejíž část nahradil nejdelší železniční tunel v České republice s délkou skoro pět km. Původně vedlo rovněž z Doubravky, plzeňské části. Ale do Chrástu a dále, nyní je trať do Chrástu zrušena, dále trať vede jen lokální. Řekli jsme si, že by mohlo být zajímavé se projít po celém zrušeném úseku, který je postupně demontován a někde je již jen štěrk, někde ještě koleje v delším úseku. Již ale jen na jedné straně. A tak se také stalo, počasí nám hodně přálo. V únoru jasno a 9 stupňů, to se nevidí tak často. I když letošní zima patří k nejteplejším v historii měření. Vyrazili jsme od místa srazu na konečné trolejbusu číslo 16 ve čtvrti Doubravka přes park v Potoční ulici, zde na jeho konci se nám naskytne pohled na konec popisovaného železničního tunelu nejen pod vrchem Chlum.

U tohoto tunelu jsme šli část po cestě vedle trati a část po tělese zrušené trati.

Cestou jsme míjeli zajímavé ochmýřené křoviska.
We continued on the track, so far only gravel and trolley lines were left and all equipment was removed. We reached the outskirts of Pilsen - Bukovec. Where we went through the viaducts. We continued past the former fort, today a place for rest. On the edge of the forest Zábělá we made a detour to the cormorant lookout and wintering area, which was recommended by one of our friends. so far we have eight members.
Pokračovali jsme dále po trati, doposud zbyl jen štěrk, i troleje a veškeré zařízení byly již odstraněny. Došli jsme do okrajové části Plzně - Bukovec. Kde jsme šli přes viadukty. Pokračovali jsme okolo bývalého hradiště, dnes místo pro odpočinek. Na okraji lesního celku Zábělé jsme udělali odbočku na vyhlídku a zimoviště kormoránů, jež nám doporučil jeden z kamarádů. Zatím nás bylo osm členů.

This plain tree at first glance was one of the many trees near the Berounka River, the wintering ground for the hated cormorant fishermen. Unfortunately, they are very vigilant, so when you get closer, everyone will fly away and come back when you move on. So a better picture with a mobile phone could not be taken.
Tento na první pohled běžný strom byl jedním z mnoha stromů u řeky Berounky, jež jsou zimovištěm rybáři nenáviděného kormorána. Bohužel jsou velmi ostražití, takže při přiblížení blíž všichni odlétnou a vrátí se, až odejdete dál. Tedy lepší fotka s mobilem udělat nešla.
We went back up the hill to the track and continue through Záběla and forest and field sections led by the former track. The rush is in sight. Along the way we pass a few houses of the then managers of the track, some today serve as cottages, some are abandoned.
Vrátili jsme se zpět do kopce na trať a pokračujeme dále přes Zábělou a lesními a polními úseky vedenou bývalou tratí. Chrást už je na dohled. Cestou míjíme pár domečků tehdejších správců částí trati, některé dnes slouží jako chaty, některé jsou opuštěné.

We are already approaching Chrást, the tracks are ending and the tracks are already in use, we are walking through the town, looking at the newly built railway station and the modified crossing. Some of them went light, so we are talking where we go to refresh and give something small. The choice fell on a pub by the river Klabava, called U Žáby, where they had a nice decoration on the fireplace. Here something was drank, some gave sausage, others waited for dinner. Then the town went down the river Klabava from a picturesque spring, where snowdrops grew.
Již se blížíme k Chrástu, koleje končí a dál už jsou používané koleje, procházíme městem, prohlížíme nově postavenou železniční zastávku a upravený přejezd. Někteří šli na lehko a tak už se mluví, kam zajdeme se osvěžit a dát něco malého. Volba padla na hospůdku u řeky Klabavy, jež se jmenuje U Žáby, kde měli pěknou výzdobu na krbu. Zde se něco popilo, někteří dali klobásu, jiní počkali na večeři. Poté se šlo dále městem dole u řeky Klabavy od malebné studánky, u níž rostly sněženky.

We continue around the mill, which is now privately owned and is very nicely repaired. Then we walk through the village and make a big circuit to the local viaduct. Here, however, a friend sees that there is beer from the brewery town hall and so we stop here for one. The establishment has an interesting name in Venice. This is because wherever it is kicked, there is water everywhere. even today, when the season is drier. We walk across the village and fulfill the wishes of the hungry, some have a good homemade pizza in the local pizzeria at the pond, which we have to quickly eat, because the company has extended the closing time of half an hour. Then we say goodbye to some of the members who are taken away by a colleague who joined us about a kilometer before the village. But the rest, including me, will wait for the city bus. Our final journey ends at its final. A little railway, a little natural and a little cognitive. :-)
Pokračujeme dále okolo mlýna, který je dnes v soukromém vlastnictví a je moc hezky opraven. Dále procházíme obcí a děláme velký okruh k místnímu viaduktu. Zde však spatří kamarád, že zde točí pivo z minipivovaru Radnice a tak se zde stavíme na jedno. Podnik má zajímavý název na Benátkách. Je to proto, že kamkoliv se zde kopne, všude je voda. Dokonce i dnes, kdy je sušší období. Přecházíme celou obec a plníme přáním těm nejhladovějším, někteří si zde dají dobrou domácí pizzu v místní pizzerii u rybníka, kterou musíme rychle sníst, neb podnik kvůli nám prodloužil zavírací dobu o půl hodiny. Pak se rozloučíme s některými členy, jež odveze kolega, který se k nám připojil zhruba kilometr před obcí. Zbytek včetně mě si však počká na autobus městské hromadné dopravy. Na jeho konečné končí i naše dnešní putování. Tak trochu železniční, tak trochu přírodní a tak trochu poznávací. :-)
