I remember watching this weird Czech comedy from the 70s (I believe) where a family goes on a vacation in Spain and they are followed by some blob-like aliens. Do you happen to know the name of that movie?

Well, I am not sure, but maybe it can be "The Octopuses from the Second Floor". Family goes on vacation and from the sea came some strange "modeling clay". Kids then create octopuses from it and bring them home.
It is popular film from 1980s. It is on TV every Christmas and other holidays in the Czech republic :)
