Hi guys, update time
ZergPool Tested
After ahashpool it was time to test the newest auto profit switching mining pool - http://zergpool.com/
The results are pretty much the same as every other pool of this type - around 0.001 BTC daily.
Here's the wallet:
http://zergpool.com/?address=3EhQvk2KorUEVjmEd9giudUurE17UjQinL
The payout should be done tomorrow (balances above 0.004 BTC are paid every Sunday).
Mining Now
Now the rig is mining ZCash without any profit switching etc. Payouts should be done daily thanks to @blocktrades at around 9 USD / 4.2 SBD.
Profitability
Currently the electricity cost is around 3,5 USD daily so that leaves 5,5 USD daily profit. The crypto market dropped really hard but it's just a phase in the cycle - we had drops like this before. Many miners are already quitting which will lower mining difficulty and make mining more profitable for the rest. It's gonna be interesting to see how the profitability looks in the coming weeks :)
I like your style CF :)
@cfminer what exactly is it that you're doing here and how would I go about joining with you?
Sorry, funding has ended but I will be workning at allowing users to buy/sell shares at some point.
For detailed info about the project please check earlier posts by @cfminer :)
This is really interesting. Who were the distributions going to? Perhaps I'm not quite up to speed. I hope to learn more about mining in the future. I always thought it would be interesting to mine using solar energy from DIY panels and storing it in batteries. I have a friend who has 1 panel on her roof and it helps power her house. I was just telling her she should use the surplus to mine instead of selling it to the electric company. Lol
I know, I had this crazy idea of building a house in the middle of the desert in Australia, with a massive array of solar panels overhead, and just living off crypto mining. Off-grid living at it's best. It would have to be a huge array though, so that you have enough power to run airconditioning as well as the mining. The ultimate off-grid situation would be growing your own food in a green house out there, and recycling water so you are self-sufficient for everything. You'd have to catch enough rain water during the wet season to keep you going for the rest of the year. Probably never going to happen, but you gotta dream don't you?
