June, 22. Another young man was killed by military forces, amidst the undergoing protests in Venezuela against the regime of Nicolás Maduro.
June, 22. Venezuela, again, cries the death of another of its youths. The crimes against humanity keep piling up.
June, 22. Was the 83rd day since the protests started, and there is no end in sight to all this misery.
June, 22. His name was David Vallenilla, he was just 22.
June, 22. David Vallenilla was shot point blank in the chest by a member of the Air Forces.
He was a Nursing student, until someone decided to shoot three pellets into his chest; right into his heart.
He was shot by this man, tasked with protecting his country, not his government.
He did it in cold blood. No compassion. While Vallenilla was down.
You can see the video of the exact moment when it happened here.
Non-graphic video, recorded from afar. Viewer discretion still advised. You're watching a young man die here.
But why? You must wonder. What was David Vallenilla doing so wrong, that he deserved to be shot down like that?
To be shot like a rabid animal. Like a worthless being.
The answer is simple.
He was fighting for his country.
He was fighting against tyranny. To get his country back from the hands of tyranny,
He was fighting for his future, and the future of us all, in Venezuela.
He was killed for protesting his government.
What is going on in Venezuela?
I will keep short, so as not to lose your attention.
For those that do not know, as I mentioned early, Venezuela is currently in its 84th day of continuos protests to oust the authoritarian regime "led" by Nicolás Maduro.
This is the result of an accumulation of circumstances; abuses, corruption, purposeful mismanagement, that finally led to most Venezuelans saying "Enough!".
And truly, it has been enough. They, illegally, appointed a supreme court; tasked with interpreting the law. Illegally, they tried to disable the national assembly, which handles budgets and makes new laws.
And Illegally, they are currently pushing a constituent assembly, to make a new constitution to fit their every whim.
I'm sorry. I know this is not what you come to see here, but I had to do my part in helping spread the tragic state of Venezuela. Let it be known.
As I wrote this article, I could not help tearing up. I had to stop a couple times, to get my bearings. He was just two months younger that me.
I kept things short here. If you have any questions and want me to further elaborate on anything, I'd be more than glad.
