If there's even a chance that it could help somebody who obviously has a much harder life than I do, even if they don't approach me nicely(would I be nice in that condition?), then I can spare a few dollars. If I could spare more than that I would give more. Systems may be corrupt and abused, but wasting money on corruption in order to help those in misery is a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

I understand your point. However, I don't understand how the system can be fixed, and I don't think 99.9% of anyone else does either. I understand more, and believe, that putting something of value in someone's hand is likely to help them, and not affecting the system whatsoever. Until someone can prove me wrong that's what I'm going with.
