The foundation of any organization is its board of directors. These people are the heart and soul of an entity - their passion and commitment leads the way and directs the future. Today, let's meet the General Director of the FairCosa Foundation, Kimberly Hlafka.

Mission
from historically underprivileged communities
to aid in improving quality of life through
education, training, and community development.
Kimberly Hlafka is originally from Brook Park, Ohio. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse, former pre-school teacher, and a certified Community Health Care Worker. She has extensive experience volunteering for the Cleveland Animal Protective League and fundraising for both University Hospitals of Cleveland and the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center. Thought I'd check in and see how you're doing
Well, our main goal at the moment is to build our social media following so that when we launch our first fundraiser we will have people to invite. So I think we are doing well! We have 83 followers on Facebook so far. :-D
That's pretty good
I think so. The magic number is 500, or so I hear, so we've got a long way to go, but we'll get there.
This is a wonderful thing you are doing! Keep on doing it! =)
Will do, thanks!

Hello @mattifer,
Thanks to jaynie, who is one of the first Steemit profiles I followed and introduced me to wales! Thanks to @wales because I saw your profile in the comments section, after reading one of his posts!
Growth on the platform happens when people and their motivations vibrate. Your post today gave me a good vibration; following you now and look forward to seeing you on my feed.
Peace and smiles
Awww, shucks. :-) Thanks for you kind words. It's nice to feel the support of the community. :-D
Are you involved with that cause? I couldn't understand where do they operate and how exactly. Where can I learn more?
Thanks for your interest. :-)
Yes, I am involved with The FairCosa Foundation. I'm a founding member of the board of directors. You can learn a little more about what we do here. You can also find us on Facebook using @faircosafoundation.
Basically, we are a brand new non-profit organization. Our mission is to help people (incarcerated individuals, military veterans, homeless folks, etc.) reenter society.
Our first program is set to launch by July of 2019. We will work inside the local prison to provide job training services to a select group of inmates. Upon their release, we will provide housing and an internship for them as well as continuing mental health services to help them readjust to life as a reinstated citizen.
Because Matthew is in the transportation and logistics industry, this initial program will focus on providing training in those fields. Successful participants will complete the program with certificates in transportation logistics, brokering, and a year's worth of experience which they can use to continue working with our partner company, or they can take to another company in the industry.
Howdy mattifer! Another wonderful member of the organization!
Yep! There are 5 of us, and I love that we all bring a unique perspective and focus to the team.
