RE: Why I did a 10,000ft Skydive for Diabetes UK

in #charity7 years ago

Hey Aaron.

Sky diving is such a thrill. I did it once in my hometown and tried to book a chute while I was on my way to Queenstown from Christchurch using the bus wifi.

Sadly, all places were filled. And I couldn't make the jump.

Luckily, it gave me the time I needed to climb Ben Lomond. The view from up there was almost as good as a skydive.

Glad you're raising awareness for diabetes. I refer people to the literature for treatment as many of the doctors aren't looking in the right places and prefer to put bandaids on gushing wounds instead of advising their patient that they should stop banging themselves up.

Nutritionfacts.org is an excellent resource on evidence based nutrition. The website is free to use, promotes healthy living, is run by a GP and is supported by 19 full time researchers who look through over 100,000 peer reviewed English language articles each year.

Good luck and happy reading!

All the best.
Nick.

Oh and for what it's worth, have a look at my latest article - if you don't like comics, don't bother. If you like piss-taking, you'll read it with a grin.
