RE: ✴️ What Is "The 10X Rule"? How You Can Use It To Change Your Life Instantly 📚

in #charlesfuchs7 years ago

This is a very good rule to follow in terms of how much work / time / effort will be required to take ones own business ventures or really any aspect of life to the next level of success.

At my job (I'm an engineer) our management is constantly under estimating the amount of time required to accomplish a task, project, job, etc. A seasoned veteran machine tech once told me of you take your own expectation of how much time something should take, multiply it by 3 and you'll have a reasonable estimate. That's if a technical person familiar with the task / project does the time estimation.

In the case of management and their pie in the sky perspective, one often must multiply their estimate by 10-20 to achieve a realistic idea of the work and time required to accomplish something.

Predictably, I waste a lot of time arguing with management about why things are going to take a certain amount of time. So goes the world of corporate America.

Anyway, putting all my rambling and ranting about corporate America and it's shortcomings aside, I must say this was an interesting video to watch. I love self improvement material like this and I'm constantly hungry for more of it. Thank you for sharing this valuable lesson.

You are totally right, studies have shown for many years that in a 10 hour work shirt, only about 3 hours of "real work" is done. People these days think they are "entitled" for no reason at all. Apppresh @crytokeepr!
