Mad or jealous? - Nope.
The way I see it, is that some authors have always been paid way more than me. The price of SBD doesn't change that.
If something I am truly thankful and glad for the price of SBD, because that will make what I earn myself worth several times more.
That being said, I've seen a couple of some what established Steemians squeezing out 10+ posts per day, and that's just a disgusting behaviour... And that will cost them followers in the long run.
Sure, I wouldn't mind 10K per week... Well, I wouldn't mind an extra 1K per week, because something like that would truly change my entire life right now.
Despite that, I am thankful for each cent I earn, just like I was thankful for each cent I made two weeks ago too.

From many months on steemit , i came to realize being a whale or having a reputation >60 doesn't says a thing about that person. Only a handful whales are good /better at contributing to this community and others are just ... you know ..we are witnessing that
