When this happens it just tells me that I need to match their follower count, that's one of the main reasons the whales get so many upvotes. If you look at their stats ( Love how it's so much more reliable than youtube etc. :D ) they've got at least 1000 followers or more.
That's how they keep getting upvoted so often, they've got a loyal following and regular upvoters. It's just a matter of matching that so I don't really hold it against them because that takes quite a bit of work. It seems once you get 1000 followers you're in the money, because if you can get at least 200 of those followers upvoting regularly even if they're not always the same people then you'll keep getting money.
It's a bit frustrating putting work into your posts and barely getting upvotes, but that's just part of how this system works, got to put more thought into how to get people involved and interested.
