"There are two types of people, the ones that talk and the ones who do." ~ Charles Fuchs.
HEY STACKERS!
The other day I came across a website that tracks the amount of "Bitcoin addresses" that are in the world today. 🗺
By doing a little research, they stated that they were only about 2,000,000 Bitcoin Addresses with over $1,000 in existence. That it!
Too put this in better perspective, a small city like Las Vegas that I live in has a little over 2 Million People. However, one wallet address does not equal one person.
Many people have multiple addresses for privacy. Heck, I think I generated hundreds of Bitcoin addresses myself. 🤣
Also, they do not count all the people who just uses exchanges for keeping their Bitcoin in.
I don't believe that many savvy investors keep their Bitcoins on exchanges for a long time period of time unless they are swing trading.
All in all, this shows you how small the Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency market is. This is why we are seeing huge volatility everyday for years (huge spikes and drops). 📊
My conclusion is that many people know about Bitcoin but never owned .00001 of it. The market is small and still owning it puts you in the 1% category of a speculative market.
Is it to late to own Bitcoin?
NOT EVEN CLOSE! While the majority of the population don't own any yet, you still can be an early adopter of owning Bitcoin at a low cost.
In my opinion, we have yet to see the frenzy! In a few years, the masses will come into Bitcoin and make the bull run of 2017 look like child's play.

These numbers and its possible implications are so fun to come across from time to time! While I had researched Bitcoin a bit in 2013, I never got into it, except for in 2017, when I thought I was late - but well, I guess I still wasn't :D
We’re all still so early 😂
Yes the guys who own bitcoin and other cryptos are still early movers. The crypto industry is still to fully explode and reach even 1% of it potential. It will take lots of time and better security features for new investors to join in.
Totally agree with you @prasasth! 💯

I agree with you man. And I can add that the majority of bitcoins are just in the hands of a small number of whales, in my opinion...
I need to get like 100 of them 😂

Holy cow, I never thought it would be that little people invested. It’s an early market as others have said though.

That means we need to get some more :-)

your post is typically pointing to me cause i happen to be in the category of people who own multiple Bitcoin address without having 0.0001 inside of it
though that was me in the early days of this year.
looking forward to more post from you.
I know people who make a new address for every new transaction 😂

Its still early. I wont sell until it hits 100 k minimum. Maybe 50k if I lost my job and needed money but thats it.
What if it goes to lets say 60k and then crashes again?
That can happen. I can sell enough to take out what I put in. Maybe I should think about it more to have a concrete plan.
Interesting post @stackin and we are all looking forward the masses adopting Bitcoin.
It will take a few years, more time to get some more 😀

Some would love for Bitcoin to drop to $1 so they can get in low again. Then shoot back up to $20,000
I’m really liking that $4000-$5000 Bitcoin Price but the only question, can it still go there? Who knows, it still a probability. 😀

I think that's a great question, how to get BTC at a low price? Sounds too good to be true lol
Glad that I am mining Bitcoin!😊
These stats are not really saying much I'm afraid. Some of the bigger wallets are from exchanges that represent thousands (millions?) of investors.
On the other hand, a lot of actual blockchain users have multiple wallets and many of the wallets with value greater then USD 1000 are lost or remain untouched.
Still its interesting to think about these numbers. Less then 2 million people actually use the chain let alone have direct control over their bitcoins.
