What's up STACKERS!
A few hours ago after my workout at the gym, I sat in my car for a few minutes and asked myself... "Are most people that Ignorant?"
My conclusion, the answer is YES! 🤷♂️
I'm the type of guy that likes to stay focused at the gym and not have any "chit chat" with people.
I'm there for gainz, not making friends. 🤣
Today was different however, with my Beats By Dre head phones in minding my own business... a dude tapped me on my shoulder and said to me "Nice Shirt, Bitcoin right?" I was like thanks!
Then he continued to say that a lot of people got scammed last year and one of his friends lost all their money buying it.
I was like ummmmm ok... (I don't like small talk). haha
Then he continued to ask if I lost money in the scam also? I was thinking, WTF is this dude talking about (Is he hitting on me, why couldn't it be a hot chick asking me HAHA JK).
I was like "Yup, Bitcoin was a huge scam and then he laughed" and I just took off to the other machines. 🤦
I use to be the guy couple years ago trying to explain and/or convince people why Bitcoin is the future and that they need to learn more about it.
Well, not anymore. I changed. I noticed in 2018, there is no reason to explain to people who are skeptical and already have an negative opinion about Bitcoin.
It's like arguing with a child and a huge waste of time. 👶
Some people would say that I should of explained it to him. Na, I went through that many times throughout the years.
People won't listen, you can't change people minds.
All I know is that when the next Bitcoin Run happens in a few years, that's when the majority of people will be interested.
I'll be sure to dump most of my Bitcoin on them at all time highs and buy them later when it crashes again. 😬
In Conclusion, I'll probably never use this Bitcoin shirt to the gym....
You know what? I might still wear it and if anyone asks again, I'll just tell them... "What a Scam, HUH?" just for kicks. 😉

he was a genius for words, he had great rants, but also they way he spoke.
LOL I used to also preach the good word of bitcoin and people said were keen to listen since it was the bull run and wanted to buy it but I had to do it, I said no! You responsible for your own financial freedom!
Now they just ask oh how’s bitcoin sarcastically! I don’t try to explain anymore I just quietly accumulate more!

Every time I see that meme about Bitcoin being "magic money in my computer," I think, a) what do you think your bank account is? and b) either direct them to the SciShow video explaining blockchain or the book The Age of Cryptocurrency, which you know they're not gonna read, because they want to seem smart and witty and not actually learn about it. It's currently trendy to mock crypto among a lot of people of my political bent (I'm an anarcho-socialist, very left), and I'm like, y'all, crypto is how we're gonna get out of this unfair system and destroy the banks. This is how we're gonna finally break centralised corporate control. (Shrug) When it starts being more mass adopted, I foresee a lot of those "why didn't you tell me about this" conversations, too.
Excellent review @stackin and you are right, it is now useless to explain to people what they did not understand about cryptocurrency!

My ears always perk up when I hear people talking about crypto in general. I am always amazed that they are aware and not shocked that they have a negative outlook on it.
Most of them invested in it during the high or just before it and then sold it at a loss. The fact that they found it before it was popular is interesting, yet if you found coca cola at its youth but sold out before it hits a consistent growth then you are just searching for short term gain.
Anyways, I see why you don't engage on the topic like you use to.
Having a conversation around your outlook on a topic verse assuming everyone has a negative view of it is the difference. One is worth your time and the other is a waste of it.
I remember in 2011 and 2012 I was even calling Bitcoin a scam haha... however, I did still try to mine it on my laptop 😂. I was curious.

Back in 2014 I probably gave away over 1 BTC worth $5 at a time telling people about the tech and transfering a little to their cell phones. Now I'm like you. I don't even bother most of the time.

Basically not because most people had gotten a new phone and didn't have their old phone....etc. Then the weird thing is my one friend who did bring that whole situation up when things were surging tried to figure out how to get it off her old phone and all that. In the end even with this reset those same people don't end up investing. They sort of think it is this weird thing I'm doing or something and don't arrive at the idea that maybe they should invest and make money off it. It is very strange. Then they will be back when the price is at all time highs trying to buy or something stupid.
Just be sarcastic and tell them bitcoin is a scam and you buy them often. That will make them research it more, it’s way better than explaining it 😂😂😂

It is funny to sort of hear what people think once in awhile. Like this girl I knew from Arizona was asking about it and said it seemed like gambling.
I have had other people ask about it and a lot of times I just say it isn't for everyone.
One guy even comes out and says he should probably be buying up crypto like I am but at the end of the day he doesn't do it.
Continue wearing your bitcoin shirt the only thing to do if someone ask you about bitcoin is just to ignore them and move on

That honestly is my view point on many things today outside of bitcoin. I'm not there to change your mind. You can believe what you want and I respect that. I love it lol, “yup total scam” peace out ✌🏽 keep rocking the shirt and spreading the disinformation. People want to believe it’s radical and something only crackpots with delusions of grandeur would be interested in.
Mostly because they can’t fathom the notion of not being savvy enough to navigate through another potential pitfall that leads to their further financial woes. It’s ironic that just having an open mind and learning wtf is going on could be the very thing to take some power back in their life. I say, let them draw their own conclusions in due time as their world rapidly changes around them. Sink or swim, it sounds deplorable to express this but success is a mind-state and that’s something you can’t beat into someone without the tools to manifest at least what they need. Crypto is in another dimension to humans living in a scarcity scam.
