The long anticipated Binance Decentralized Exchange (DEX) testnet has finally launched and many people are pretty excited. π
There are currently dozens of Decentralized Exchanges in the crypto world but for some reason, most of them have completely failed to gain any traction at all. π
Can the "Binance DEX" become the first successful Decentralized Exchange in the world? Only time will tell... but they do have a pretty good shot at it. πββοΈ
The Binance Dex will also have its own chain with one-second block time. In other words, it's going to be able to do large transaction pretty damn fast!
In my opinion, Binance Dex will be one of the most popular and used decentralized exchanges in the near future.
So where does this put STEEM getting listed on the new exchange?
I'm not quite sure yet.... too get listed on the Bianace DEX, the cryptocurrency will have to pay a $100,000 listing fee. π³
Is there a way that STINC (Steem Inc) @ned can front this cost to get STEEM listed on the new Binance DEX?
We do have some time as Binance DEX is only a test net right now. However, planning to get STEEM listed on the DEX should be important.

I don't like the way that DEX actually works right now because it issues a pegged token for the asset you are getting. Not the actual underlying asset.

The question is when they port Binance token to their own network if the nodes will be centrally controlled or if anyone would have the ability to run a node. I think it will be kind of like what happened with some of the Chinese Block Producers on EOS where there are a group of them taking significant control or entire control over the situation.

Not a big fan of Binance DEX due to the centralization of its nodes but it is always good for improved liquidity.. Although, I feel SBD requires it more than Steem.

DEX is the way is way if the future and I think it's pretty important to get steem listed!
I made a killing on the coin of one of the first DEX's during the market peak. It was called Cobbinhood and if people were going crazy for that, they'll go even more crazy for a Binance Dex. Beyond the popularity, Binance have the clout to make it work. I think all major exchanges may follow suit in the next few years.
I do remember Cobbinhood, I think I still own like 500 tokens but I sold most of them in the bullrun ππ

It seems to me that many centralize exchanges will soon transform their platform into Dex exchanges because Dex is more secure with customers fund
It is pretty expensif to list a coin on this DEX. ;)

Great to hear this but the listing fee is so huge
Maybe this could be the first proposal we ask the WPS to consider for funding? Unfortunately, it will depend on the donations of the community to achieve!
