What's Up STACKERS!
Since I've been on Steemit, I keep seeing people say that you must just do good content if you want to succeed. Well, you know what... that is absolutely false in a way. 💁🏼♂️
You see, "Social Media" in fact is really just a "popularity contest" and you must find a way for people to follow you and keep following you. Yes, it's just like High School. 🤣
However, if you become popular and have some "chops" (a way of saying things); you can dominate any social media platform regardless how well your content is.
I plan to talk more about in the next few days with better details... but I'm going to leave you with this. Popularity and Content goes hand to hand regardless how good it is. 🤩

It so much like high school, all the nerds get good grades "content" and don't do well in social but all the popular people "athletes" get all the praise hahaha

there is some factor which can influence the popularity and may be called X-factor, it don't belongs to everyone, you have to earn it.

Great points man. It's something I try to remind myself of every day....You could write a Pulitzer and without eye balls reading it, it doesn't amount to anything.
And anything 'marketing' related seems to get crapped on in Steemit which I'll never understand.
This is a popularity contest and our job is to stick out from the crowd and engage people that do find our stuff / brand awesome
The giveaway is in the name 'social' media - means you have to be be social!
Sure good content helps but I agree you have to make people like you. KEEP STEEMING!
I think you hit the nail right on the head.. it’s all in the name as social media implies. There’s many ways to become “popular” with great content being one but great content doesn’t mean longest or most intricate post. It’s up to the readers interpretation of “great”
The right “Attention” is everything on social media 😀
Social media is just one big High school. Be popular or be friends with the popular guys and you are cool.

If you think about it in terms of upvote power, this is still true on Steemit. There's plenty of great content here that doesn't earn well because the do not have support from whales and dolphins. There's also some awful content that still gets support from whales and dolphins. Steemit will change this from being popular to being popular with people who hold a lot of steem. Also, being a whale or dolphin will make you more popular in many ways because of the weight of your upvote!
You got that right 🙀 but “WE” still should feel responsible about our words and message we have. I can’t stabd “crap.
You are lucky because you convinced some investors ( whales) that you are a bad ass asset for them. Don’t forget that point!
I suspect if I had less Steem Power, I'd have a few less comments and upvotes.

that's so true! Just by looking into facebook and instagram ... have you ever seen an education video that had as many views as a video from "funny cats" ? - I don't believe so .. entertainment is the answer.
Even if I think that the current majority of steemit prefers more quality content .

I tell you man, its not about quality contents but who you know and who knows you basically, Lol. But am saying the truth anyways. If you like be the best writer you will still struggle to make $1 in your post if you don't know the "Whales" and Dolphines. Forget aboug fingerlings like me. Winks.

Social media is probably one of the easiest way to invest and earn. But very good point of Steemit is to help and share others as well to achieve what others cannot. Anyway, keep up and have a good day ! :)

@stackin popularity is a powerful tool on social media but if you cant pay your way through you need to have good content to draw attention....i believe if your content are good its just a matter of time before you Properly discovered
