Methodist Church commemorates laying to rest of Charles Wesley

The Methodist church commemorates the day one of their talismanic forerunners, Charles Wesley, was laid to rest. The impactful hymn writer, poet, preacher et al was laid to rest in Marylebone Parish Churchyard in London.

Charles Wesley officially wrote over 6,000 hymns and was loved for his writing and singing acumen.

He was born in Epworth, Lincolnshire, the son of Anglican cleric and poet Samuel Wesley and his wife Sussana. He was finally laid to rest on 5th April, 1788 and the Methodist church well recognizes and remembers his works on earth.
