Che Guevara: Quick summed up thoughts.

The international man of mystery: El Che. After reading his biography, I think it’s safe to say the man was a polymath with an inextinguishable zeal. A zeal unsurpassable by any communist, and comparable to Lenin. Che exceeded charismatically, politically, militarily, intellectually, and ideologically. Floating between myth and reality, his history has often been blurred by adversaries and allies alike. Adventurism as his shepherd led him to follow his dreams of liberating the oppressed by spreading communism, and it's collectivist ideology.

For Che, the ends did justify the means, and although he was capable of nuance, it was admittedly lacking at times. Moral dilemmas during his fight for Cuba were hard-lined and as a result gave him a formidable but understanding aura that represented his revolutionary fervor for justice. While leading Cuban rebels, every restriction he imposed on his men; every limitation, he reciprocated towards himself. A quality trait many of his men admired and aspired to emulate.

Che was hard, but sympathetic at heart. Through violence, he inherited the struggles of the common man, transformed their misery, and turned it into fuel towards trying to create a more just society. He peered into humanity’s future and came back with an immaculate reason for existing. The man came back with his life’s purpose, and it was clear. To thrust the world forward into a state of higher consciousness, which he believed to be communism. A world where altruism and empathy dominate the minds of men; where greed and selfish acts would be eradicated for the collective and greater good. As controversial a man as he is, he represents the qualities of any revolutionary leader. His story, once fully read and understood, eerily and resoundingly resembles the struggles of our independence. The U.S. colonial detachment from British imperialist subjugation, except with a little more communism haha. French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre once called Che “the most complete human being of our age”.
