Once upon a time a community was created on the blockchain, and it was called steemit, lot of users trooped in and started posting plagiarized content(contents previously on other sites) then one man called @anyx set out to create a content bot that upvotes plagiarized articles, this man @anyx wrote an algorithm using custom web search API's to scour the internet for similar content that's how this content bot called @cheetah was born.
@cheetah is a content bot developed by @anyx, it scours steemit for copy/paste content. this bot was lunched in july 2016, the same
month steemit made its first payout(july 4th). cheetah assumed to be a female bot upvotes a post and claims to have found similar content on its provided link
Source
@cheetah never flags(downvote) copied content insted it puts a notice for other users to look into further. serial plagiarist and identity thieves goes on the bot's blacklist, these users get downvoted on every post by these content bot(@cheetah)
sometimes this cheetah bot upvotes an article wrongly if a specific content from another article is found on yours, for example you took facts about a certain thing from another article this both could flag you if the content looks very similar.

HOW TO AVOID THE CHEETAH BOT
Source
1.STUDY ONLINE; this is similar to reading a textbook, but i really wouldn't support a textbook because its harder locating facts on time in your textbook compared to the internet you can get point from other steemians post to help you build yours but always remmember to refrence the post the fact was gotten from
2.WATCH VIDEOS ONLINE; to me this is regarded as the easiest means, for a truth i think reading is hard work and i would be a lot smarter if every textbook was made into a movie, the brain finds it easier processing graphical content. if you wish to write an article about something for instance weather report you go on youtube.com and search the keyword and learn as much as you can on that particular topic, and also look out for facts
3.BRAINSTORMING; this involves thing on what post you wish to write on and ideas about the perfect write-up, brainstorm carefully and if lost do yourself a favour and ask around for tips and ideas.
4.FREESTYLE WRITING; no no no this has proven to be the hardest means of writing an article, its content is original and its often unique. my advice to newbies just like me is to indulge in freestyle writing, because that way you won't be upvoted by the @cheetah bot, ..a lot of intresting events take place as we walk around everyday so take advantage of these and write exclusive content.
SOME FACTS TO TAKE NOTE OF
Do you know that when "cheetah" comments on your post it might lead to reduction in reputation? This is totally false, I'm new to steemit I've been upvoted 3 times by @cheetah and my reputation is still not low.
Most posts having cheetah in the comment hardly ever get enough upvotes so there's really no need plagiarizing.
Waste of your own time.Steemit values original content, when your content is original you get a high chance of being upvoted by @curie
You loose faith and trust in the community if you get cheetah's upvote
Tips
If you see a post on the net and think the community would like it and engage it, I would advice you try and read it thoroughly and then start to compose yours instead copying the authors post
