This amazing cat is surely one of the most beautiful. To celebrate WORLD CHEETAH DAY today,
I'd like to show some photos taken a few years ago in the Kruger National Park when we were lucky enough to see a family cross the road in front of us.
It was a glorious moment.
We'd been driving along for hours, seeing nothing. Then, I spotted a cat face in the long tall grass and shouted to my dad (who was driving) to stop. We waited for a few minutes until one, two, and then four cheetah appeared out of the grass and into the road in front of us.
They stopped for a moment, with one, then two lying on the warm road and taking a little break.....and then they were gone, melting into the bush again.
It's moments like this that make Kruger magical.
Really good job man carry on thanks
happy cheetah day @whistlejacket,,,,good one,,lets celebrate,,
Celebrate by appreciating the beauty of cheetahs.
Aw, how amazing to see such gorgeous animals in real life! Things never look quite to scale in photos and on TV -- seeing them up close, they're really big, aren't they? I can imagine how intimidating they are. Great photos, thanks for sharing!
Yes, it really is special to see them live. I am privileged to have seen them in the wild a few times.
