Adults - Children in distress

in #child7 years ago

When I was a kid, I rarely thought about the people who were supporting me – My parents, my friends, my other relatives and overall everyone who always believed in me.

As I grew up and remember the contributions they had in my short life, I wonder how exactly they survived my mood swings, my raw emotions, my small burst of anger and every bad thing that went along with me.

To see a child growing up in front of you, one really understands how much sacrifices the people around you had made to make you where you are today. How one learns the patience and how one learns how to forgive others and more importantly oneself .

The laughs and cries of a child are both taken in consideration but the affinity and the love towards the child never reduces. The truest love and the truest relationship that one have is with the child.

The child really makes you understand and make you contemplate about things that you never thought you had the maturity to understand in the first place.

When you see the other person as a child rather than a grown up committing mistakes , your whole approach to a person changes. The person is no longer your competitor , your enemy . He or she is just a child who is supposed to be forgiven , no matter what they do. How can you punish a child . Even if a child lies or talks wrongly, more than often we forgive the child , simply because the child knows not what he/she does.
May be that’s what the jesus meant when he says ‘forgive them for they not know what they are doing ‘. For a jesus , his whole viewpoint of looking at a fellow human being is nothing more than someone who is looking at a child.

My maternal uncle had been saying to me nowadays that I had changed a lot from a funny guy to an almost serious uncle. You are no longer a child now .. he said. Maybe he is right for he did remembered how much we had fun together when I was growing up, the umpteen wishes that he fulfilled, more than the umpteen hurt I might have caused to him for my arrogance of looking at a particular situation.

Why people grow up. Why they loose their innocence and the child in them is something which I had no answers. May be the last string of any relationship still ponders over the excitement and passion that a child exhibits.

The more you don’t suppress it , the more the child grows up to a full human being having a great potential. The more knowledge the child exhibits, the more child is supposed to be mature and the whole perimeter across the child changes.

The viewpoint of the world , of the parents and all others around the child changes. And before anything more happens, the child is turned into a full grown human being , matured and ready to be fighting the world on his own term.

He is no longer supposed to be showing any behavior symptoms that are even remotely closer to the childlsh behavior.

May be, the last straw of human being and the whole world still remains in the child. When a child is born , it is a new beginning, a new wave of excitement in the life that might have sucked. All the worries and all the gray areas of life go for a toss when you see a child smile.

Probably that’s what a child brings in this world. Peace!!!
