You may have different childhood experiences that cannot be forgotten. From good, bad, funny, even embarrassing moments that fill up your childhood memories. Babies from the age of 6 months are facing the oral stage. They like to put everything in their mouth. They try to identify whether those things are edible or not. I once also experienced this, but I did it until I was 5 years old. I like to suck my thumb and take my little pillow everywhere. That pillow smells so good to me that after my mom washed it, the smell was gone, and I couldn’t sleep because of the different smell. Recently, I bought a pack of Portobello mushrooms and dehydrated it. The smell of that mushroom is just similar to my old pillow. Hmmm. It feels like back to the olden days. The pillow that I use smells just like that dehydrated mushroom. Just that mushroom, because I’ve tried a different mushroom (Shitake) and it smells different. I’m so happy that I like to sniff it every time I go to the kitchen. Hahaha. I made my homemade mushroom stock powder from that. Back to the olden days. I also like to press my finger with the tip of the pillow strap. I made a knot from that strap and pressed my tip finger on it. It is so satisfying but kind of hurts. My nails become ribbed because of that habit. That strap is slowly getting dirty and turns black so that comes. My mom found it disgusting, so she washed it without me knowing, and it would make me difficult to sleep.
As I told you, I also like to suck my thumb until I turn 5. Many people asked me about the taste. I just simply answered that it tasted like that strawberry. That habit makes my mouth contour by slowly moving forward. My brother told me that if I continue to suck my thumb, it will grow and make another branch on that thumb. He even showed me a picture of a thumb that was crooked. After seeing that picture, I then thought that it would become reality. As a toddler I easily believed what my brother said, and that makes me even believe him. My thumb got injured while I played with my toys and left a line mark on my thumb. After that event, I stopped sucking my thumb completely. What a funny coincidence that made me stop it immediately.
