A late Christmas wish come true

in #children7 years ago

Around Christmas time of course my son wished for toys, but there was one wish that didn't come true. To get a Christmas snow.

So this morning while he was still sleeping, my husband and I looked outside and guess what was on the ground (and still continuing to fall)??

Our first snow!! Obviously we were beyond excited to wake him and show him.

As we looked out the window together, soaking it in, he looks to me and says in the sweetest little voice, "my Christmas wish finally came true!" a few seconds later adding, "we can make snow angels!"

Both kids were in such high spirits with the idea of going out. Here's them having a little fun

Let me tell you, something about seeing their eyes light up, it's just.... magical.
But only just getting over the nasty bug that's been flying around, they were ready to go in after five minutes. Their energy has just been drained. :(
Poor kiddos. I hear we're supposed to be getting another round. Hopefully they will be back to their normal selves and will be able to get the full experience and will enjoy their late Christmas wish a little more! For now I think I can handle lots of snuggles and cartoons.

Thanks for checking their short experience out!

Wow :-) live long life little angel

Aw, I still get that feeling of joy with the first snowfall. Although, this year I was happy to see it wash away with the rain. I think it's been more the icey cold I haven't liked, but I still get that childish glow with the first snowfall. So glad your kiddos got a chance to go out into and I hope they feel better soon!

Yes, I know exactly how you feel, I'm the same way!
It was such a bittersweet moment. Watching his excitement grow only to go out and realize his energy isn't quite where it needs to be. Hopefully soon!Thank you so much @donnadavisart!
