Teaching children is not just a profession; it's a passion that springs from the heart. It's about nurturing young minds, inspiring curiosity, and instilling a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Every smile, every question, and every breakthrough moment reminds me why I chose this path. It's more than imparting knowledge; it's about making a lasting impact on their lives, guiding them to become confident, compassionate, and godly individuals. The joy of seeing them grow and succeed is the true reward, and I am honored to be a part of their journey.
These are the kids were we spend our weekends. Going to the differents baranggay, waking up early in the morning just to see them even if it’s far from our place. Maximizing the time we have because time is very important to us from morning till afternoon we have “Gawain sa mga bata”.
The picture below is the kids wherein they inspired me to wake up in the morning just to meet them at 8:00AM. Their baranggay is far from the city proper. You have to commute and use “habal-habal” motorcycle before you reach it because its kinda remote area. This is Brgy. Kili-Kili kids.
This one is from baranggay Dagum. They don’t have any place to use that is why most of the time they have their “gawain” outside or in the street or in waiting shed and sometimes under the tree. The most difficult part to them is when it’s raining the “gawain” maybe canceled because of no permanent place. Just in the street. But we’re praying that one day God put a special place for the kids that they are not longer transfer and transfer.
This one is from Brgy. Awang, same us baranggay Dagum they don’t have any permanent place and most of the time they also have their gawain in coastal road here in Calbayog for now because its under construction but if it’s already finished, maybe they change another location too.
This one is from Baranggay Ipao, we have two “gawain sa mga bata” because its a big baranggay in Calbayog. We have San Roque St, and Cabalawan St. They have their gawain in different houses and in different time.
We also have Barnggay Rawis wherein our church also is there. We have the time for kids and time for teens. So we separate their time because of their age gap.
And last but not the least is in our baranggay. The baranggay Guin-on. That from 10 kids and now 60 kids and counting. And fyi, we only have 5 puroks/street here and we almost have attendees from different purok except in purok 5 because its far and dangerous to the kids because you will walk from the highway. So its risky for them to come here in our house. I’m concern with their safety.
So that is how my weekend spend wisely! From morning to afternoon and from Saturday to Sunday. All Glory to God!
Love, Ate Georgette🤍

Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. – Proverbs 31:8
I believe teaching is a very Noble calling for there won't be any professionals now if it weren't for their teachers. Jesus was the greatest teacher and teaching about his ways is truly a blessing.
It will never be tiresome if you just view teaching as a work or a job but if you love what you do it's not work but a passion.
Thank you so much, ma'am!🤍

This is really special, we are working with children through ecological education such as birdwatching. I appreciate those people that care for the next generation 🙏
