Likely. The main point still holds true though. Singing is a big part of their culture here.
Not in China anymore then I assume? 10 years is a long time! You must be fluent in Chinese.

Yep, singing is a big part of the culture. Very often you even come across people singing (not very loudly) while walking down the street or in the supermarket.
Fluent? Not at all. I can go shopping, but that's it pretty much. I'm unmusical & never got the hang of the tones. Anyway, I gave up trying to learn Chinese after Xi came to power. Then it was pretty sure that I wouldn't have a future in China.
Yeah I've noticed that from time to time. Especially with the older generations. Nowadays, the younger generations will mostly be walking with their heads bowed and their eyes glued to their phones.
Good call! It's becoming more difficult to stay here that's for sure. The laws keep changing every year making it extremely tedious to get a work visa.
I Followed you. I'd love to hear about your experiences in China sometime. I'm sure you have quite a few interesting stories!
Actually, I wanted to work 1 or 2 more years in China before I would have retired to Thailand. Had a new job in Beijing, but the requirements changed & I didn't want to go back to Germany only to have my certificate legalized. So, now I'm looking for ways to earn enough money to make my Thailand dream come true.
Will post a lot more about China in the future, but I'm lazy & slow. So, that will take a lot of time.
