"Oppose Xi Jinping" - quote of the dissident woman that has not been heard from since.

I have been watching the developments in China for a while now, no doubt it's a powerful country with deep culture and advanced technology. However, the leadership has a very outdated mindset that will not likely survive in the modern world.

Which is exactly why I'm posting this on Steemit, nothing makes the Communist Party more mad than something they can't take down or censor! Here is the link to the incident in question: http://shanghaiist.com/2018/07/05/young-woman-goes-missing-after-filming-herself-splashing-ink-on-poster-of-xi-jinping/

So after splashing ink all over the portrait of Xi Jinping, this lady received a visit from the Chinese thought police and hasn't been heard from since. Likely to be sent to a re-education center to be brainwashed into loving the party and the leader.

Here is my message to the small individuals bent on controlling the world: you will fail. There is a new world order now, where the citizens come first and everyone has a right to dignity and respect. Trying to crush our freedom with force will fail. Trying to censor our free speech will fail. Incidents like this will only increase with the heavy-handed attempts to stifle dissent. We could all learn a little from Hua Yong as an example.

Arresting this woman, Hua Yong was a mistake that can only backfire for the Chinese Communist Party. Throwing ink has become an act of resistance. The authorities have lost face. Deleting her twitter account was likewise a bad move. The internet forgets nothing, especially these days.

What lies next is unknown, but I am sure that the people of China will not allow their freedom of speech to be taken away from them. Indeed, the constitution of China allows for freedom of speech for all its citizens. In a country of 1.4 billion, the government has been becoming more strict and paranoid about keeping a lid on everything.

However doing things like this is exactly what makes the pot heat up, and eventually boil over.
