A short explanation

about my username :)

It's my third year in Vietnam.
I came to do 6 months contract work, and I stayed...

Somewhere down the road I started contemplating about my Vietnamese pseudonym 'arty-farty" nickname...
And ( short story) brainstorming in the swimming pool one day with a friend cho muc ( Chó mực ) was born.

It is a game of words ( a legit one though, meaning, Vietnamese use it... not my interpretation only) Chó for a dog and mực for ink
Literally translated it's an ink dog, but in Vietnamese the phrase is used for black ridgebacks from Southern island of Phu Quoc.
Indigenous and special breed in Vietnam.

Needles to say, I absolutely found the symbolism that connects me with those dogs... thus Chó mực in human form was born.
( except the most-expensive-dogs-in-the-world bshit.... price tagging is unfortunate byproduct of society we live in right now... )
