The Bible contains invaluable guidance on how to invest in business ventures. Check out the following biblical references: “Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight: you do not know what disaster may come upon the land” (Ecclesiastes 11: 2; NIV). “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well” (Ecclesiastes 11: 6; NIV). “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty” (Proverbs 14: 23; NIV). Investing in a number of ventures diversifies away the risk of business failure. Diligence of course always leads to business success. Any businessperson who is always in the habit of toying around with business ideas without implementing them risks being “long on talk and short on delivery.”
