DEVOTION: LIVING FOR GOD

1Peter 4:1-2, "So then, since christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered pysically for Christ, you have finished with sin. You wont spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God".NLT

EXPLANATIONS

Christ went through pain and agony just for our sake, it was His passion and Love for mankind that made Him endure such pain. The pain was not meant for Him but for us , but He Choose to deliberately go through it.
2.Since Christ harmed Himself for our sake, so should we reciprocate the gesture by pleasing Him
Always be ready as Christains to go through pains either as persecution or suffering because of Him(God)
4.When you recognise that Living for Him is the best thing on earth, your desires becomes God's Will and not your will.
You would want to hear from God before taking any step because of the anxiousness to do His will

Paul said , if i die , i die for christ sake and if i live it is to the Glory of God. What was paul saying here, he(paul) meant he was satisfied with whatever happens to Him so far it is to the Glory of God.

PRAYERS

Lord, give me a strong appetite to surrender all of my self to you.
Lord, make your WILL align with my will forever in Jesus name.
Lord, strenthen me to live for you always in Jesus name.
