A Christian pilgrim is a saved, sanctified, Holy Spirit-filled believer who is living a holy life and getting ready for Heaven. To such an individual, the present world is a temporary home. He looks forward to a better country, which is Heaven, the abode and throne of God 1 Chro. 29:15; Ps. 119:19; Heb.11:13-16; Heb. 13:14; 1 Pet. 2:11.
THE CHALLENGES OF A CHRISTIAN PILGRIM
The challenges are:
a. Satan, demons John 10:10; Eph. 6:11-12
b. Sin and sinful life James 1:12-15.
c. Flesh and self Gal. 5:19-21; LK. 12:16-20
d. The World 1 Jn. 2:15-17; Rom. 12: 1-2
e. Tribulation Jn. 16:33
f. Chastening and open rebukes Heb. 12:4-11
g. Laws of the land Dan. 3:1-7.
h. Marital issues 1Sam.2:22-36.
i. Finances and its management Acts 5:1-10.
j. Vocation Lk. 5:5.
k. Spiritual gifts 1 Cor. 12: 1-12.
There are challenges on the way of a pilgrim, no doubt but thank God, we have a great ally, Jesus Christ, with whom we are sure of victory.
