I read that place myself some weeks ago. Its facinating how Joshua stayed behind. He did the 'extra' for the 'extra ordinary'. I totally agree with you. But for me as i read this passage again I tell myself...God is looking for the people who can put in some extra time in to their ordinary lives for him and recieve an extra ordinary pay . This is a man who also labored fervently for the church of Jesus through prayers unto God for the brethren even the body of Christ in Colossi, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis that they may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
