Greetings fellow Steemians.
Welcome to Week 7 of Open Church
Open Church is an initiative by @majes, @nextgen622 and the Christian trail community on Steemit. It aims to be a place where Christians on Steemit can hang out, encourage and build up one another, and reflect the love of Christ. The church is not a building, but is made up of people who have been transformed by God's grace.
Steemit is not all about money, but it's also a community of real people with real needs. So let us be a community of brothers and sisters that can Truly support one another with our real lives. Hope we can put aside the money element of Steemit and enter into authentic fellowship with one another.
Each week we will be putting up a new post with a new topic or theme for discussion. But feel free to come here just to fellowship and be a blessing to one another. Whatever denominational background your from, or if you're just curious about the Christian faith, everyone is welcome.
So feel free to share a link to your favourite worship song, share a word of encouragement, a prayer request, or introduce yourself. But please do not promote any posts here, or get into any arguments here.
Today's theme is... share a time of answered prayer.
You can also join us for some more fellowship in the Christian-chat channel on Steemit chat. https://steemit.chat/channel/christian-chat
In Papua New Guinea, the weather bureau forecast a dry spell starting in August - El Nino weather pattern. We prayed and it has not been what the bureau predicted. Instead it rained. Our water tanks are full! The vegetation is green as usual.
Wonderful, our God is bigger than the weather forecast! He rules over everything!
Praise God!
When I was very young, my oldest brother's baby boy had been very sick. They took him to see a doctor, and he was immediately hospitalized. He was diagnosed with spinal meningitis. The doctors said that he wouldn't make it through the night. My mother and others went up to the hospital and many others were praying through the night. The next morning my mom called home to tell us that the baby was sitting up and playing and was perfectly fine. She said that the doctors couldn't believe it and even they were calling it a miracle.
That was the first miracle I ever witnessed.
The God of miracles is my God too.
That is a great testimony, praise God! My brother age 20 at the time and his wife also 20 years did missionary work in Africa when they came back both of them had Malaria. Doctors said the same to my parents that he would not make it through the nite. There was a lady in their church that had the gift of healing and my parents call her to come pray for them. Needless to say, he now 45 years and his wife, both were healed and went home a few days later.
We serve a mighty God!
Amen, @hope777!
This song has been rocking me -
have some friends doing some relief work in Houston and the miracles and stories are amazingly tragic and amazingly divine...the church is stepping up to the plate to serve and love Houston
A few months ago I had a lump in my breast. A dr. and a sister felt it and the doctor wants to schedule an appointment to take a biopsy. As I don't have a medical fund, this could take months at the state hospital. Hubby and I started to lay hands on it and praying every night and in a few days, it disappeared.
There are so many miracles in our daily lives. If you trust God you will experience His miracles frequently. I can just praise Him every day!
Prayed for someone who had a painful condition in his arm where it was difficult for him to move it, he was instantaneously able to move it with no pain. God is real..
For sure He is real, we just need to put our faith in Him!
Amen!
Let God be praised.
