Romans 11:16
(NKJV) For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
Today I will be taken us on the aspect of FirstFruit in relation to the Tree of Life.
Consecration. The first fruit was a part of the harvest. It was given as a matter of practice to God by ancient Israel and it represented respect for God's Providence and thanksgiving. The part taken out to offer to God sanctifies every other part. The early Christians were first fruits in relation to us...
Every regular plant gets its foundation and nutrition from its base, the root. We are here by faith, which did not start with us. The patriarchs through uncommon faith brought the promise of God closer. The first branches of that tree being the Jewish nation. If God counted those fathers holy, who followed Him by faith, so will all who remain on that tree be counted holy...
