It's really true that we don't wrestle against flesh and blood. We surely need the help of God in order to do this. And one thing we should put at the back of our minds is that this battle is to be fought throughout our stay on earth. Until we meet God in glory, the devil is not going to leave us alone and that's why it's kinda imperative for all and sundry to be on our feet and equip ourselves with the whole armour of God. God has promised that He'll never leave or forsake His people. If you're one of His people, then be assured that this battle is going to be won. Paul made this clear in 1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13, NASB)
