I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal all that we are going to do in this studies.

1 Cor 2: 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

If you want to know God to His full extent then I am inviting you to do this studies with me.

WORKS OF GOD

In the previous study we looked at the works of God which was

  • creation

  • provision and providential care

So in this post will look at

  • salvation of man

Acts 2: Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. 25 David said about him:
“‘I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

Revelations 13:8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.[b]

John 6:38-40 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

Galatians 4:4-5 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.[b] 6

Phillipians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Revelations 17:8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and yet will come.

  • redemption of creation

Romans 8: 18-25 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[h] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

2 Peter 3:8-13 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[a]
11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.[b] That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

  • free will of man

Within in God's Sovereign eternal decree, He allows man to make voluntary choices and experience the result of those choices.

Joshua 24:14-15 Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

John 3:35-36 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

Free will also allows man to cooperate in God's plan and be blessed.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Our God is the God of mercy who knows the beginning and the end but gave man will and ability to choose. Most time men choose with the eye of understanding and does not cares on the things above. God is wonderful and omniscient.

God's decree make us secure and reserve.

God bless you at @hope777 for this wonderful gift as a post.

All religions taught us one thing which is that "GOD IS ONE "
Beautiful teachings

Dear @munazza. There is only one true God. That is GodTriune. God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

God's eternal plan make me secure. Because God thoughts towards his people are good, it may not look easy or deserving but I tell you God wants the best for his children.

Thank you for commenting I really appreciate your answer and totally agrees with you that God's thoughts towards us are good!

Thank you dear sister!

More and more as I walk with God, my view of God changes. I know He is not changing, but our view of Him must change as we grow in grace. Or else we are not growing or learning ourselves.
The most difficult thing is for the finite to understand even a little, the infinite. We have our life experience living within the confines of time. This is all we know! But God lives outside the confines of time. He created time and put man in it. When He is posseses all knowledge and lives in a very different world unique only to Him. So one of the things that changed in my thinking. If we read an end time prophecy in Daniel, the psalms, Isaiah or Revelation, it isn’t God so much making these things happen! He has already been there and was an eye witness!
When Moses saw the hinder parts of God, from what he saw he could write the 1st five books of the Bible. He saw eternity past, or atleast a glimpse.
When many say God is Sovereign, in their minds this means everything that happens is in His will. A predestined, pre programmed outcome!
In the mind of God, Jesus was crucified before the foundations of the earth.
God before He created anything, even 1 billion years before that, could see today, me sitting here in the Philippines, wearing shorts, a grey shirt, no shoes, writing these very words. This is how Awesome, different and unique He is!
He is Sovereign, but so many things happen are definitely not His will! Rape, abortion, incest, genocide, people dying without Christ. This is the freewill part! God in His foreknowledge predestined us to be conformed to the image of Christ. It is His foreknowledge, seeing what has not yet happened for us in our “time” restriction.
There is so much God is waiting on! So much He would prefer and desires would happen. That none should perish, but all would come to the knowledge of repentance.
God would that the church would mature! To grow up into the fullness of the stature of Christ! His choice of spreading the Good News is through His Church. He commands all of us to go! We are responsible for our generation! But the church is self centered and many cold and could care less some else goes to a real hell.
Go is looking for a willing vessel to work with Him against these things He hates! Inercessors, our time, talents and money for the Gospel.
He works with people. Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Peter, Paul, and you and me!
So His sovereignty is extra special as with all of these variable. People! He will have His way in the end! The big picture is His! He could stop these things, but He gave that authority to the Church.
So thought prevoking Hope.
Thanks and God bless!

Thank you ma, God eternal decree or plan makes me secure. In Jeremiah 29 talks about God's plans and thought towards us, talking about thoughts of good not of evil to bring to us an expected end.

Thank you for your comment dear @elplaga. God's plan also makes me feel secure and I know that verse in Jeremiah very well. And it is said in the New Testament if a father knows how to give good things to his children, how much more would our Heavenly Father give us good things!
