I found out that the Hebrew word in this verse for "acknowledge" is the same word in Genesis where it says Adam "knew" Eve. Therefore, it implies an INTIMATE relationship with God, rather than what a lot of us may think of as, like, "Hi God, uh, yeah, I 'acknowledge' you...uh, you're there." No, this implies having an INTIMATE relationship with him, for example, praying to Him and seeking Him through His word, and he will direct our paths!
