The Way Missionary Work Is Carried Out
I am not going to pretend to know more about the Bible than anyone. I am just a Christian who has observed a trend that if not addressed, our religion might be ignored one day. I mean how to we expect to go on evangelism to preach to people who find it hard to eat even once a day. How do we expect them to take as seriously when we come to meet them in the state of rugs, diseases, unclean environments and all we do is share the word and leave?

I believe if it must be done, it must be done the right way. Imagine if Bill Gates and Warren went on missions, what do you think will happen? In my opinion, they will try to make the lives of these afflicted people a little easier before sharing the word with them. By providing them with new houses with toilet and baths within, making sure their health needs are met, providing them with new clothes and stuff and then SHARE the word with them. This I believe will get their attention more than anything.
If these things are done before evangelism take place, it would back everything we say up. If I come to you to try and get you to join a business, wouldn’t you kind of want to see some proof that strengthens my words? How I dress and what I drive would definitely be the first things you will take into consideration. So, if I am to move to a village to spread the word of God and all I have is some 2 clothes, a sandal and nothing more than my lorry fare back, how will that prove to them that the God we worship is the source of joy, happiness and true wealth? Even if we do get people to see the truth in having God in their lives, that truth accompanied with how we look is what we will be selling which isn’t the best.
I believe if we are lucky even to have found God, we should be will to put his word into practice. The Lord wants you to be rich enough not to follow long queues to get your sick son, medical attention. He wants you to call a doctor home anytime you or your family is sick and then he expects you to go out there do it for others and while doing it give him all credits he deserves. For this to happen, we need to learn the new trends and hop on to greatness.
The Wrong Prayer
To many times, we as Christians act as if we read the Bible for reading sake. We act as if it contains nothing but the wondrous works our Lord Jesus Christ did. Aside for the amazing things our Lord did, are secrets to getting wealthy which can all be found in the Bible. If you ask a billionaire what it takes to be like them, they will tell you the answer is within you. The MIND, is a powerful tool that repeats whatever we constantly present to it. The Bible makes us to understand that we should flee from evildoers. Why? It is because no matter how good we are, if we stick around those who love to steal, fornicate, lie, we will eventually become just like them.

Many Christians have in their lives people who are lazy and have a negative mental attitude and yet we keep them around. This does us more harm than good and yet we encourage it. Our children see it and copy it. They also grow up with children of said lazy friends who also copied it from their lazy parents and the trend continues.
When we pray, we ask for the Lord to give us things that we already have within. We pray for him to take away our troubles. We pray for him to prevent us from being fired from the job we have been at for 20 years. We pray for him to kill our enemies. Well, we are our number one enemy in case we didn’t know. I believe it is time we got up and challenged ourselves. It is time to stop entertaining people who bring less value into our lives for one day, we will be accounting for all we did here on this earth. Let us learn how to get wealth in God’s way and then help people in severe conditions to get up.
This is one of the inspiring post I've read today. Yes, I believe God wanted us to enjoy the wealthiness in this world though in reality here in my country, preachers are not that well off when it comes to resources. I hope many preachers of God will find their heaven and earthly treasures as well.

Until Christians & indeed the world realize that we our bless to bless others, then we'll keep getting it wrong. This content is rich.
Nice post

Good post
You said,
"Everything is possible in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ so why settle for less as a Christian ?"
Everything is possible for God but we don't have the power to perform miracles.
Foreign missionaries and aid organizations will feed people and give them the gospel. That's not always possible for poor people living in their own countries to help people as poor as they are.
What normally happens when people become Christians is that their nonbelieving friends abandon them and all their friends are Christians. But if you have unbelieving friends that are a bad influence on you then you need to have less contact with them.
There's this verse in the Bible that, "What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul". I've seen a lot of Christians base on this verse and many other similar ones like it and conclude that it is wrong to have any riches and that since money is the root of all evil, we should refrain from riches.
I don't quite think it's so but just that as Children of God we shouldn't lose ourselves, our morals and our core values when we try to gain wealth. That's how many Christians should begin to see it as.
it is not only to share the word, it is to make the Lord transparent, to see in our face and actions the Creator God.
That he is a kind, merciful God, incapable of denying anything to his children, if that which you ask is for your salvation.
i believe Lord Jesus is with us at every moment. Amen..
The world is a beautiful place @kwakumax. When God created it, He made sure everything we needed was in it. But man destroyed it, mutilated it, and badly transformed it for his own sake.
Once evil has been in the world, there's no way for it to be pure and perfect again. This is unfortunate, but it's not the end. All of us have time and opportunity to make it a better place for everyone - a precious time we all call life.
I deeply appreciate what our missionaries do to spread God's Love and Word to everybody. And I know they do their best to feed the people, not only their souls but their bodies.
But we have to understand here that with the multitude of people living in poverty, the efforts of missionaries aren't enough. Thus, we, as individuals, not necessarily as Christians, have a mission to serve and make sure our fellowmen are well. And every small effort we do to serve means a lot. In short, we are missionaries too, and we can do missionary work in the best way we can.
Service is a very tough and challenging act, but the fulfillment and reward you can get from doing such is beyond words.
However, we have to remember that no missionary work can ever change a man who's not willing to change and do for the better - regardless of what it takes to become better (i.e. to toil for daily bread). Thus, one's mindset and will play an essential role to the betterment of his life - socially, financially, and spiritually.
The bottomline is: Faith and work go hand-in-hand. Lastly, how you use your mind determines how you steer your life - either you go up, or go down.
Another great read @kwakumax! Took me long to check this out again but anyway, thanks for sharing!
