The very first chapter of the book (John) tells us that "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." Jesus not only proceeded forth from the Father and came into this world, and lived His life on earth having flesh and blood, the same as you and me, but He died on the cross and rose again the third day, and ascended back into the heavens.
"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."
John 3:13
The book of Proverbs speaks of this as well, long before the birth of Jesus:
"Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?"
Proverbs 30:4
"But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:"
Philippians 2:7
"He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)"
Ephesians 4:10
He came into this world in the likeness of men, becoming like us in that He would walk and breathe and live, having natural flesh and blood like us. Yet the fullness of the Godhead indwelled Him.
"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."
Colossians 2:9
After He was crucified, and the flesh was done away with, Jesus arose and ascended back into heaven, where He was before.
"I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."
John 16:28
During the time that Jesus walked on this earth, He explained that it is only by Him that any man or woman can enter into heaven.
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:"
Matthew 7:13
Not only did Jesus make a way, but He promised to send the "helper," the Spirit of truth, who would lead us into all truth.
"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."
John 16:13
Jesus promised that He would send us of the same Spirit that proceeded forth from the Father, Just as Jesus proceeded forth from the Father.
"Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me:for I proceeded forth and came from God;
neither came I of myself, but he sent me." John 8:42
"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father,
he shall testify of me:"John 15:26
"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."
John 3:5-6
"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."
1 Corinthians 15:50
"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:6
"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:"
Romans 2:4-7
"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:"
Isaiah 55:6
"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."
Isaiah 55:7
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Romans 10:9
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
Revelation 3:20
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
