RE: DID JESUS CLAIM TO BE THE SON OF GOD?

in #christian-trail7 years ago

We can go through the copy/paste passages if you want. It can take quite a lot of time. The differences among Christian denominations is nothing compared to the differences between Islamic denominations. Obviously they can't all be right, neither can all Islamic denominations be right. But let's get back to my point because you totally ignored it.

So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. Quran 10:94

That's the Quran asking Muhammad to go to the people of the Book so even Muhammad had to go and double check with those who have read the previous scriptures. Have you read the previous scriptures? How much of them have you read? I bet you haven't even Muhammad didn't otherwise he wouldn't have continued to preach Islam.

Sort:

Why are you quoting from the Quran if you do not believe it is from God?... And who is speaking to Muhammad peace be upon and asking him to check previous scriptures?... Do you expect that the message of God from one Prophet to the next should be so different that it should be unrecognisable to the people who came before?... It's only obvious that the true books of God would have major similarities.
Quran 4:163: "Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms]."

4:164: "And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech."

If you quote the Quran to me, it doesn't make any sense and so the objection becomes valid so you should ask yourself... Why are you quoting the Quran to me because I do not believe the Quran is from God. But when I quote the Quran to you, it makes sense because you believe it's from God so back to my main question again. Let's see if you answer the question or you will try to avoid it again.

So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. Quran 10:94

That's Allah in the Quran asking Muhammad to go to the people of the Book ie. Jews and Christians for confirmation so even Muhammad had to go and double check with those who have read the previous scriptures. Have you read the previous scriptures? How much of them have you read? Where is the confirmation of Islam in the previous scriptures? Where in the previous scriptures does Jesus warn us not to call Him the Son of God? Where does it say that Jesus was not crucified or that someone else was crucified instead of Jesus? Where does it say that God is not our Father because if He was, then He wouldn't punish us for our sins? Where does it say that God doesn't have a Son and it's blasphemy to say He does?
