The story of Jarius in Luke 8:40-56 is my focus for this post. "Desperate situation require desperate measures." That's a popular saying that described the situation that Jarius found himself. His daughter was sick to the point of death.
As a rich and notable man that he was, he must have engaged the expertise of the best physicians of the time. They did their best, but the situation remained.

He must have come to a humbling decision of going to beg Jesus to come to his house and pray for his daughter. "Maybe, just maybe she will be healed," Jarius must have thought.
There are times when we come to the Lord not because we are sure we will find solution in Him. We just go to Him because we have no other option. Some of us allow life's challenges to knock us down so much that Jesus becomes our last resort instead of our first and only option.

In verse 49, Jarius got the news he feared most. "Your daughter is dead, no need to bother Jesus. It's over!" Maybe Jarius cried out, "Oh, I'm doomed!" When he heard the news.
"It's over," was the news; and he received it while taking a walk with Jesus to his house.

Friends, you may face challenging situations that breaks you down and question your faith in Jesus. "Why is this happening to me when I'm already taking a walk with Jesus?" At such daunting moments, just remember, your story hasn't finished yet! And the Lord has promised not to leave or forsake you.

Jesus told Jarius to relax. "You came to me to heal your sick daughter, but don't worry, I will raise your dead girl!" Jesus has more in stock for you friends.

It's not over for you because your story hasn't ended. Don't let life put a lid on your story. Don't fret, don't give up. Jesus can do exceedingly beyond whatever we ask or think. It does not matter how terrible your situation is. Don't lose hope, don't give in to the negativity that surrounds you. It's not over unless you give up. So don't!

God bless you!
