Our Father Abraham is the father of faith, whose faith we are to follow according to the scripture Gen. 12:1-5
12 Now the LORD said 1 to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.
2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and pin you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. ”
4 So Abram went, as the LORD had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from
Haran. 5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan.
Hebrews 11:8-10
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city.
So also in the old have their faith that heaven is their hope Hebrews 11:13-16.
Abraham believe that even if Issac died, God knows best and will provide a solution to any problem.
To us, the Christain race is just like someone travelling to a far away country. No man has ever see the country. We are called to like this. The country is not know by any man except Jesus Christ. We are called to travel to heaven.

It is always easier to walk by sight as we know where we are going, however, as Christians we are always reminded to walk by faith no matter how challenging. Thanks for the reminder.
