And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
Luke 5:5
In Luke 5:2, Peter and his friends were washing their fishing nets after fruitlessly toiling all night when Jesus encountered them. This was a sign that they had given up. Even though they did not want to try again, for respect and regard for the Master, they did so again. This time, they caught more than they could carry.
In life, there are times where one may also give up after many fruitless trials in pursuing a particular task. Example, when you repeatedly search for a job but find none or get involved into marriage intended relationships that end no where.
What one needs to be able to try again is a word from God. As long as efforts are based on human wisdom, there is always a cause for failure but when one acts because God said so, he acts by faith and sees the manifestation of his hope.
LIFE APPLICATION
Do not give up on any good pursuance in life just because it has failed consistently; rather, seek a word from God's word so you anchor your faith on it and after another try, you will be successful.
