"Today is the Day..." - Daily Word #77

In Psalm 118:24 (NKJV) it reads...

"This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it." Source

I've often heard this being shared by Believers that we all ought to Rejoice and Be Glad because the Lord gave us another Day to live. And I thought the same. Then I read a little deeper, especially looking at the context and verses prior this verse.

One would begin to realize that this verse makes reference to JESUS, even though he was despised and rejected by His own humanity... He continued with His Ministry, His Purpose, His Call, and it was LOVE that compelled Him all the way to the Cross.

And after looking like He was defeated, after 3 days, He rose from the grave, alive and well. This is the "DAY" that we are talking about. It's a morning like no other mornings, even the evening was not dark enough to dim the Bright Light of the SON OF GLORY!!

He erased the power of Darkness and Death with one blow!!

He erased the power of Darkness and Death by giving us the New DAY on Resurrection Sunday!! We who are believers in Him, consecrated by His Blood, do not need to face darkness and the fear of death and hell. Why? Because on that DAY, we will triumph with Him in Glory.

And so what's left for us to do is to REJOICE and BE GLAD, for our Redeemer draws nigh (near). He comes to Save the Lost, to Redeem Mankind from their Sin, and all they need to do is to turn to Him.

If you still do not know the Lord or have yet to receive Him as Lord and Saviour...
Today could be YOUR DAY!

Today is the DAY for your Salvation.

Today is the DAY for your Blessing.

Today is the DAY for your Healing.

Today is the DAY for your Restoration.

Today is the DAY for your Victory.

And that is why we ALL REJOICE! Because our Days belong to JESUS!

Blessings & Shalom.
