As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.
Chances are, if you’re listening to this devotion, you are a follower of Yashua. You have chosen to make yourself his disciple. You are wanting to learn and grow in His teachings.
It’s in these verses we see those who choose to follow Yashua are to be fishers of men. Yashua said if they followed Him, this is what He would make them. So, our ultimate goal is to be fishers of men. To learn how to reach out to men the way He did.
Yashua knew all the answers, yet He never tried to force His way on people. He reached out to them with the truth in love. May we never forget that we are called to reach out to people. We are called to be the example. May we never forget our job is to reach out to others in love in hopes they will see.
Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.

Yes indeed @simms50! But in addition we need to ensure that the 'fished" are fed , not with another fish , but by the WORD until they MATURE to be SONS,instead of Children , who will never walk away from following Jesus !!

I think that will happen at some point, but I feel that something bad has to happen to those that don't have God in order for them to be shaken up to see!
Well sir, that's a great point. Like when 9-11 happened the churches were all overflowing for a few weeks with people seeking answers.
Right that did happen...but it really didn't take to long for people to go back to their old ways....
Yes sir, very true. It should have been the start of a great revival but it didn't last.
